The Competence Network for Media Design is an international network of educational and non-educational institutions and companies. Its goal is to increase the exchange of content, know how and people in the field of media design. The network is funded by the Austrian FHplus program.

media.coop is the exchange portal of the project Kompetenznetzwerk Mediengestaltung.
media.coop will have several channels, such as for theory, for student works and for diploma thesis. Official launch of the service platform is planned for the Ars Electronica Festival in September 2006. Interim results are being showcased at Museumsquartier Vienna 24-27 March 2006.
